1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Manwe web app, downloading or installing the Mac beta, using the website, or booking a call, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Manwe.
Terms of Use
These terms cover the Manwe web app, the Manwe Mac beta, the askmanwe.com website, and any booked calls you request. Read them before you create an account, open the app, install the beta, or contact us.
By accessing or using the Manwe web app, downloading or installing the Mac beta, using the website, or booking a call, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Manwe.
Manwe is a language-aware decision product for serious questions. The main path is the Manwe web app, which turns questions into decision records with role-bound advisors, evidence, disagreement, claim checks, risks, forecasts, Future Paths, same-language recordings where available, and next actions. A separate Mac beta exists for local-first workflows, Worlds, governed memory, What Manwe sees, and scenario testing. The askmanwe.com website provides information about Manwe and a public archive of example decision records. Booking a call is the enterprise and team path; it is not the product itself and does not change what the product does.
Manwe is early-stage software. It may change, break, lose data, or produce unexpected output. Features, modes, and behavior can change between releases. Do not rely on the beta for workflows where failure is not recoverable.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Manwe web app and, where offered, install and use the Manwe Mac beta on Macs you own or control, for your own decision-making or internal evaluation. You may not: (a) resell, sublicense, or redistribute the product or its components, (b) reverse engineer or modify the product except as permitted by applicable law, (c) use the product to build a competing product, or (d) remove or alter any notices contained in the product.
Manwe helps you inspect assumptions, evidence, dissent, risks, forecasts, and next actions. It is decision support, not professional advice. Outputs are not legal, medical, clinical, financial, regulatory, tax, or safety advice. Do not rely on a decision record to make legally, medically, or financially binding decisions without appropriate qualified human review.
You are responsible for: (a) the questions and context you enter, (b) any documents or source material you upload, (c) your decision to use a local or cloud model mode, (d) the decisions you make based on decision records, and (e) any use of outputs you share or act on. Do not upload material you do not have the right to use or that would be unlawful to process.
The web app depends on third-party services for authentication, billing, infrastructure, and model execution. When you use cloud model modes in the Mac beta, or when the web app runs a decision on your behalf, relevant content of your run may be sent to model or research providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar services, under their own terms and privacy practices. The Mac beta is distributed via GitHub Releases, which has its own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, but you must not use them through Manwe in ways that violate their terms or applicable law.
Public records on askmanwe.com are examples of output format and are provided for informational purposes only. They may reflect older versions of Manwe, different model configurations, or different source inputs than your own runs. Do not treat public records as advice to you or as a guarantee of what you will see in your own use.
The Manwe name, brand, design, app code, and website content are owned by Manwe and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Content you create in your own decision rooms, and source material you upload, belong to you; we do not claim ownership of your decision records. Public archive records are published with the understanding that they are proof of output and may be read, quoted with attribution, and linked to, but not reproduced in full without permission.
Do not use Manwe to: (a) process material you are not authorized to process, (b) attempt to deceive, defraud, harass, or harm another person, (c) generate content that violates applicable law, (d) evade safety or compliance obligations you owe elsewhere, or (e) interfere with the operation of the website or the beta.
The Manwe web app, the Mac beta, the website, and booked calls are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that outputs are correct, complete, or suitable for your particular decision.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Manwe and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or decision outcomes, arising from or related to your use of the web app, the Mac beta, the website, or a booked call. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to USD 100 or the amount you have paid us in the prior twelve months, whichever is greater.
You may stop using Manwe at any time by closing your account, uninstalling the Mac beta, or simply stopping use. We may pause, change, or discontinue the web app or the beta, or remove access for a specific user, for any reason, including for violations of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law, and these general terms) will survive.
We may revise these terms as Manwe evolves. Substantive changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the product or the website after a change means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Manwe team's place of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion will be submitted to the competent courts at that location, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
Questions about these terms: hello@askmanwe.com.
